ALL RULINGS MUST BE ADDRESSED THE NIGHT OF THE OCCURANCE. OTHERWISE IT WILL BE CONSIDERED A NON ISSUE BY THE TNMGL COMMITTEE.
All wooded areas not marked with stakes are considered to be red stakes which means if your ball goes into that area, you go to the approximate spot where it went in and take a drop in …the rough. One stroke penalty for the drop.
Hole #1, if your drive ends up left of the cart path (and stays there) that area is (white stakes) out of bounds and you need to re-tee .You are now hitting 3. If your next drive ends up in the same place, re-tee and you are now hitting 5 (and so on).
Down the right side of the 1st fairway is considered red stakes which means, if your drive is lost in this area, take a drop ( in the rough) at the approximate point where the ball went into the woods you are now hitting 3.
Hole #2, the entire left woods is red stakes, which means if the ball went in and you cannot hit it , you take a drop ( in the rough) where the ball went in and you are now hitting 3.
Hole #3, there are red stakes on both sides of the fairway which means that if your drive goes into the woods on either side you go to the approximate spot where the ball went in, you drop a ball ( in the rough) and you are now hitting 3. To the left of the green, there is an area that has been worked and there is a ground under repair area. If your ball ends up in ground under repair, take a free drop, no closer to the hole, no penalty.
Hole #4, the entire left side of this entire hole is red stakes. If your tee ball lands in this area, take a drop in the rough no nearer the hole and you are now hitting 3.
Hole #5, the entire left side of this entire hole is red stakes. If your tee ball lands in this area, take a drop in the rough no nearer the hole and you are now hitting 3. If your drive does not clear the waste area fronting the tee, go to the forward most tee take a drop (you are now hitting 3). If your approach to the green goes over the green and you are against the fence behind the green you can take a free drop no nearer the hole.
Hole #6, if your drive goes into the water hazard on the left, you take a drop (in the rough) where it last crossed land and you are now hitting 3. Where there are no red stakes, play the woods as if they were red stakes. Beyond the last tree on the right side of the fairway there are red stakes up both sides of the fairway.
Hole #7, the woods on both sides of the fairway are considered red stakes. If the ball is lost, take a drop (in the rough) where the ball approximately went in, you are now hitting 3.
Hole #8, if your drive ends up in the water, you go down below and drop at the drop zone, you are now hitting 3. If your drive goes right of the fairway into the hazard you can:
a) Play the ball as it lies (don’t ground your club, don’t move anything in the hazard)
b) Take an unplayable lie, in the hazard which is take a drop… two club lengths no nearer the hole while still observing red stake rules , you are now hitting 3
c) If your ball is considered lost, you can take a drop in the drop zone, you are now hitting 3.
d) If you find the ball and it is unplayable, you can take a drop at point of entrée and you are now hitting 3.
Hole #9, the trees on the right side of the fairway between 9 and 10 are considered red stakes. If the ball is lost, take a drop (in the rough) where the ball approximately went in and take a 1 stroke penalty.
Hole #10, if your tee ball goes left into the brush area between 1 and 10 it is played as red stakes which means, if the ball is lost in this area, take a drop (in the rough) at the approximate point where the ball entered the brush area. You are now hitting three.
Hole #11, if your drive does not get over the waste area, take a drop at the next forward men’s tees (the silver tees not the red tees). You are now hitting 3. If it does cross and goes into the waste area, take a drop where in last crossed land. You are now hitting 3.
Hole #12, if your drive does not get across the waste area, go to forward tee, (the silver Tee) drop a ball (do not tee it up) and you are now hitting 3. Down both sides of 12 there are red stakes. So if the ball goes in, go to where it went in drop a ball, you are now hitting 3. If your approach shot is long and goes into the woods behind the green that is considered red stakes, take a drop no close to the hole and add 1 shot to your score.

Hole #14, for a drive landing left or right or long of the green that is not found, the player is to take a drop no closer to the hole. You are now hitting 3.
Hole #15, the left and right side of this fairway is marked as red stakes. A ball hit and found in these areas is considered to be in a hazard...If the player decides to play his ball, then all hazard rules pertain. If the player decides to take an unplayable lie he can but the ball stays in the hazard. If the ball is not found then the player will observe the stroke and distance rule. Take a drop at the point where the ball went in. You are now hitting 3.
Hole #16, there is a cart path extension on the left as you approach the green. This should be treated as cart path. Also, if your drive goes near the green utility box on the right there is a cart path there and it should be treated as an extension of a cart path and you get a free drop no closer to the hole. Play it as it lies in the valley or take 1 stroke drop no closer to hole.
Hole #17, a drive ending up on the hill in front of the tee box is a red staked area and considered a hazard. If the ball is found play it as it lies observing the red stakes rules. If you cannot find your ball in these areas, take a drop approximately where the ball went in, you are now hitting 3. For a drive landing left or right or long of the green that is not found, the player is to take a drop no closer to the hole. You are now hitting 3.
Hole #18, both sides of this fairway are considered red stakes. If you cannot find your ball in these areas, take a drop (in the rough) approximately where the ball went in, you are now hitting 3.
The committee has done its best in anticipating / explaining the most obvious issues that may arise, however, as was stated at the beginning of this document, if there are any discrepancies, those discrepancies must be addressed the night of the issue or it will be considered a non issue by the committee. Do not wait until the following week.
